Investigating -
Yesterday evening we got a report from one customer experiencing degraded performance.
1. Initial investgation:
- Atlassian Platform Invocation time report reported one customer is experiencing degradated perfomance
- From the Atlassian Developer Statuspage we can see there are no open issues with the Forge platform or Atlassian APIs
- From Jira instance involved there were no Invocation errors from the reports
Countermeasures
- We reported the performance issue to Atlassian as an “Report Product / API Incident”.
- Earlier today we released a new version of Smart Guess Pro, updating all Atlassian Libraries used to integrate with the Jira Cloud. We can't tell if this was causing the problem, but was recommened action by Atlassian support engineer.
2. Further degration identified around 11 GMT 7. november 2024
- Currently the performance degradation can be seen by multiple customers.
Countermeasures
- We are in contact with Atlassian support team and escalted the issue as it impacting multiple instances.
- We have started upgrading the Forge runtime environment, which Atlassian reports improves performance considerably. This Release takes more time than the update we did this earlier today and requires more testing. However we aim to have this version live early next week.
